GAMBARAN UMUM PARIWISATA BUDAYA DAN KOMINFO KABUPATEN GORONTALO
Kabupaten Gorontalo memiliki luas wilayah 2009 Km2 dengan jumlah penduduk 331.577 Jiwa yang tersebar di 17 wilayah Kecamatan dan 175 Desa / Kelurahan. Masyarakat Gorontalo menganut falsafah hidup adat bersendi sara, sara bersendikan kitabullah.
Daerah Kabupaten Gorontalo memiliki asset pariwisata yang tidak ternilai berupa obyek wisata yang terdiri dari 8 buah obyek wisata alam, 2 buah obyek wisata sejarah budaya dan obyek wisata buatan 2 buah.
Perkembangan pariwisata Kabupaten Gorontalo tidak lepas dari dukungan Airport Jalaludin Gorontalo, dan 6 buah travel serta 50 buah rental car, selain itu terdapat 10 buah hotel / penginapan dengan 65 buah kamar, dan 63 buah rumah makan.
Berbagai ragam kekayaan adat budaya daerah yang terpelihara dengan baik secara turun temurun didukung oleh 26 buah sanggar seni budaya, serta berbagai atraksi wisata lainnya.
Souvenir khas Gorontalo tidak kalah menarik, berupa kerajinan krawang, mintu, rotan dan lain-lain. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari 15 buah toko / usaha souvenir. Dengan kondisi ini maka jumlah kunjungan wisatawan pada tahun 2009 sebanyak 65.803 wisatawan yang terdiri atas 65.684 Wisatawan Nusantara dan 119 Wisatawan Manca Negara.
